Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data Dabeer collects and why. The controller is Rustam Gulov, sole proprietor, Republic of Tajikistan — [email protected].
Your recordings and texts stay on your Mac
Dabeer transcribes, corrects and analyses audio, video and documents locally. Your recordings, transcripts, documents and chat messages are not sent to us or to any cloud service.
What we collect
Website (dabeer.rustamguloff.com)
- When you visit a page or download the App, our server records the IP address, country (from Cloudflare), browser user agent, referring page and campaign tags (UTM). We use this for download statistics and abuse protection. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
- The site remembers your language choice in your browser’s local storage.
Purchases
- Payments are handled by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. Paddle collects your payment details, billing country and email under its own privacy policy. We never see your card details.
- From Paddle we receive your email address, transaction ID and order status. We store the email together with your license key to deliver the key, restore a lost key and process refunds.
- We send the license key and download link by email through a transactional email provider that acts on our behalf.
License activation (Dabeer Pro)
- When you activate Dabeer Pro, the App sends the license ID, an anonymised hash of your Mac’s hardware identifier, macOS version, Mac model, processor, architecture, memory size, App version and language. Our server also records the IP address and country.
- About once a day the App checks whether the license is still valid by sending the license ID and the hardware hash.
- We use this data to enforce the device limit, to prevent key sharing and to support you.
Update checks and optional statistics
- The App periodically asks our server for the latest version number. We do not store these requests.
- Dabeer Basic can share anonymous device statistics (the device details listed above, without name, email or IP address) — only if you turn this on in the settings.
Model downloads
Speech and AI models are downloaded from third-party hosts such as Hugging Face (and Ollama, if you use it). Those hosts see your IP address as with any download.
Legal bases
We process purchase and license data to perform our contract with you, and website and anti-abuse data based on our legitimate interest in running a secure service. Optional statistics are based on your consent, which you can withdraw in the settings at any time.
Retention
License and purchase records are kept for as long as the license exists and as required for tax and accounting. Website logs are kept for up to 24 months.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run Dabeer — Paddle (payments), Hetzner (server hosting), Cloudflare (network and security) and our email delivery provider — or when the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data, or object to its processing, by writing to [email protected]. Deleting purchase data deactivates the related license. You may also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change; the date at the top shows the latest version.
